Later, she realizes that her ovaries are not working and that she lacks a chromosome to determine her gender with certainty. His request ? To be registered in the civil state for what it is: a " third sex ". Her request rejected by the administration, she leads the case before the Constitutional Court.
MEDICAL EVIDENCE FOR A THIRD GENDER
Since this case, the Constitutional Court has condemned the existing law in Germany and forced the country to find a better solution by the end of the year. This is done, the Bundestag now allows transgender people or not recognizing any gender a real option, named for the civil status.
