State of Play: our summary of Sony ads

If Sony Interactive Entertainment will not go to E3 this year for the first time in its history, the manufacturer has decided to speak a little differently in 2019. Like a Nintendo Direct which he s is a great inspiration, the State of Play is a new show during which we were able to discover PS4 and PlayStation VR games.

A lot of virtual reality, but little shattering information

This first episode lasted only about twenty minutes, but Sony still had some new features to present. Unfortunately, no big surprises on the horizon and long-awaited games like Ghost of Tsushima , Death Strandingor The Last of Us Part II have remained in the closet. The Japanese brand has focused on titles a little less impactful, focusing primarily on virtual reality.
The broadcast had started well with the officialization of Marvel's Iron Man VRexclusively for the Sony headset. Camouflaj studio is in charge of the development of this action game in which the superhero will fly and destroy his opponents in the air. The title will be released in 2019. The Japanese firm quickly followed up with an unpublished trailer of Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled . PS4 players will have the opportunity to opt for retro skins for the characters who will have a look inspired by the basic game released in 1999. See you on June 21 to rediscover this app with updated graphics. Another big announcement of this State of Play is the arrival of virtual reality in No Man's Sky this summer on the PlayStation VR (and Steam VR).

Now that big presentations are over, Sony has chained with games not necessarily unforgettable. This is the case of ReadySet Heroes in which the player will have to evolve solo or in cooperation in dungeons by massacring enemies. All in a colorful atmosphere with easy access gameplay. The release will be in 2019 exclusively on PS4. We then came back to virtual reality with Blood & Truth , a first-person shooter game unveiled during Paris Games Week 2017. This title for the PlayStation VR will arrive on May 28th. Then, a clip of several games that will be released on the PS VR was broadcast. Apps like Jupiter & Mars (April 22),Everybody's Golf VR(May 21) or Vacation Simulator (June 18) were in the game.

A disappointing final and great absentees

Continuing with Observation , the next game of Devolver Digital will be released on PS4 May 21, 2019. The player will play SAM, an AI installed on board a space station in which mysterious events occur. It will be necessary to collaborate with the only survivor, Dr. Emma Fisher, to restore the functions of the vessel. The PlayStation VR had not yet said its last word with Five Nights Freddy's VR: Help Wanted coming soon. It will be a series of terrifying experiences inspired by the original Five Nights at Freedy's games. It will be possible to use a Dualshock 4 controller or two PlayStation Move to interact with the environment. Beautiful fears in perspective!
Finally, the last three games mentioned in this State of Play were already well known to all. We were able to admire a long overview of the gameplay of Concrete Genie and its history. We will have to embody a boy named Ash, persecuted by other children, who will aim to revive his hometown by using his magic brush on the walls. This exclusive PS4 will arrive this fall. Days Gone also had a new trailer just before its release on April 26th. Once again, it is the scenario of the game that has been put forward. To conclude, it's Mortal Kombat 11 who came to close the event by announcing the arrival of Jax, Kung Lao and Liu Kang to the cast of this new opus expected April 23 on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
