The HTC 5G Hub, for a VR experience even while traveling
It runs on Android Pie , has a touch screen of 5 inches and even embeds a Snapdragon 855 and a battery of 7 660 mAh, but it is not a smartphone.
The HTC 5G Hub is the first hotspot to be compatible with 5G. Through Qualcomm's Snapdragon X50 , the brand promises downstream speeds of up to 2.64 Gb / s and as many as 20 simultaneous connections.
So powerful and so fast, says HTC, that it imposes itself to the use of a virtual reality helmet. On its stand, the manufacturer can actually indulge in a virtual reality experience via the Vive Focus headset connected via Wi-Fi to a smartphone paired with the HTC 5G Hub.
Finally, when we know that one of the many points of friction with the virtual reality today is a tangle of cables and, otherwise, in the instability of the network, HTC could well hold there a relevant solution.
The manufacturer has already announced that several international operators have advanced to distribute its product when their 5G networks will be
developed. For the moment, however, no French has come forward.

More prosaically, the Taiwanese manufacturer has also unveiled the Desire 12S : an entry-level smartphone sold for around € 200.
At this rate, you can imagine, point of 5G, but a rather attractive design with this duo material at the back reminiscent of Google Pixel 3 . Aiming at an optimal use experience, HTC offers here a 5.7-inch smartphone in 18: 9 format with a slab offering HD + definition (1440 x 720 pixels).
A Snapdragon 435 platform propels the phone, together with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (expandable). A battery of 3075 mAh completes the data sheet of this smartphone running Android 8.1 (ouch).
