From now on, store technicians will have the authority to support customers' iPhone, even if the battery inside has been installed by a third-party repairer. Previously, only devices that had been repaired by approved centers were accepted, even if the problem involved another component.
Apple can even offer an iPhone exchange at the price of a battery replacementIf it is not possible to remove the battery from the phone, because of a surplus of adhesive or broken fixing tabs, an exchange of iPhone can be offered at the price of the change of battery (49 € or 69 € depending on the model), at the discretion of the employee in charge of the transaction. However, the phone must still be under warranty to benefit from these new largesse.
