Palo Alto Networks, a leading cybersecurity publisher, launches three security management solutions based on machine learning. Under the name Cortex, a tool will provide a secure data lake as a layer encompassing all the infrastructure and terminals of the company to store all logs and related data. This data lake can also connect to the Palo Alto Networks application marketplace. A second tool, Cortex XDR, integrates natively the network, the workstations and the cloud data for the detection, the analysis of the threats. By using behavioral analysis to reveal threats, accelerates analyzes in automation processes and stops attacks before damage can be caused, thanks to a close integration with the points of attack.
The Santa Clara, California-based publisher is also launching version 6.0 of its desktop protection tool, Traps. It now includes a Behavioral Protection Engine against attacks that stops real-time sophisticated threats by reconstructing a chain of events to identify malicious activity. Traps 6.0 can be connected directly to the data lake mentioned above. And combined with Cortex XDR, Traps enables customers to enrich their prevention devices by including detection and response across their entire digital infrastructure.
Five partners of Palo Alto Networks have been chosen to offer the Cortex XDR offer from March 4th. These are PwC, Critical Start, ON2IT, BDO and Trustwave managed services companies. The Cortex Data Lake and Traps 6.0 are already available worldwide.
